Disney Channel's 'Zombies' Is Getting A Sequel With Three New Cast

The third and final film in the ‘Descendants’ franchise airs this summer on the Disney Channel, so perhaps its time for the next hit franchise.  Last year’s ‘Zombies’ attracted 2.57 million viewers during its premiere, and 10.3 million over the course of the weekend, with repeat airings, making it the most-watched program of 2018 for kids 6-11, and tweens age 9-14.  Now it’s getting a sequel, complete with new cast members, Pearce Joza, Chandler Kinney, and Ariel Martin aka social media influencer Baby Ariel. ‘Zombies 2’ begins after last year’s groundbreaking semester at Seabrook High, as a new group of outsiders—mysterious werewolves—threaten the newfound unity and cause a rift between Zed and Addison. Paul Hoen, who directed the first movie, is returning for the sequel.  The screenplay was written by David Light and Joseph Raso, who wrote the first.
