Gears of War was ported to PC on November 11, 2007. It includes new maps, as well as a Map Editor, which has the ability to make new missions. It was not ported to Vista as Halo 2 PC was, but rather to Windows XP instead. With DirectX 10, graphics are displayed at a higher quality compared to the original Xbox 360 release. It is also a Games For Windows Live title, meaning mutliplayer is done via live gamertags. Achievements were added as well, containing all the same achievements as the 360 ver
