You can now send GIFs to your friends via Instagram Direct to add more style to your messages using moving images. The feature is available for both iOS and Android users from today.

Why is it on Instagram messages that when I send gifs to other people they don't appear animated but when I receive them they do? (I use a Samsung if that matters)
